DAY 1: Fulfilling God’s Purposes Thank God for this young person and for the treasure they are to Him and so many others. Pray that their life will be used by God to carry out His purposes. “The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the people. But the plans of the Lord stand firm and forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.” Psalm 33:10
DAY 2: Drawn to God’s Light Pray for this young person to have a saving faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Pray they will receive and reflect God’s light in their life. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you.” Isaiah 60:1-3
Day 3: Loved Unconditionally Ask God to deepen your love and compassion for this student and help you regularly pray with insight—wisely, specifically, and lovingly. “Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward Him for the life of your children.” Lamentations 2:19
Day 4: Supported by Caring Adults Pray for the youth leaders, pastors, teachers, coaches, mentors, family members, friends, and others who influence this young person. “One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4
Day 5: Impacted by God’s Power Ask God to raise up this young person—and many others—who sincerely love and boldly follow Jesus Christ with their whole heart. “Lord, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, O Lord. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known...” Habakkuk 3:2
Day 6: Working in Unity Pray for a spirit of unity in the Church and among ministries so young people have greater opportunities to hear and share the gospel. “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus...” Romans 15:5
Day 7: Loving God’s Word Ask God to help this student grow in love for His Word. Pray also for those who teach scripture at youth groups, camps, and in small groups. “O Lord, our Lord, the majesty of Your name fills the earth. Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and nursing infants to give You praise.” Psalm 8:1-2
Day 8: Families Honoring God Pray for strong families where parents model Christlike love and children respond with honor and respect as unto the Lord. “Children… honor your father and mother... that it may be well with you.” Eph 6:2-3 “Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.” Colossians 3:21
Day 9: Supporting Each Other Pray that this student’s family will connect with other Christ-following families who encourage and build each other up as followers of Jesus. “Day after day they met together in the temple. They broke bread together in different homes and shared their food happily and freely, while praising God.” Acts 2:46-47
Day 10: Knowing God as Father Pray for nearly half a million youth in foster care. May they know God as their Father and follow His Word as their guide—especially where birth parents are not present. “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families…” Psalm 68:5-6
Day 11: Homeless Youth Pray for unhomed youth—over 4 million in the U.S.—that they would be safe, seen, and supported by God’s people. “...whatever you did for the humblest of My brothers, you did for Me.” Matthew 25:40
Day 12: Incarcerated Youth Pray for 30,000 young people in juvenile detention to encounter hope and freedom in Christ. “He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release for the prisoners.” Isaiah 61:1-3
Day 13 Campus Mission Field Pray for the school this student attends. Ask God to raise up student leaders and caring adults to minister on every campus. “I am sending you to open their eyes and turn them…to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:18
Day 14: Living Boldly for Christ Pray that students will courageously share the gospel and live their faith boldly with peers at their school. “Do not say ‘I am only a child.’ You must go to everyone I send you to.” Jeremiah 1:6-8
Day 15: Adults in Roles of Authority Pray for school principals, teachers, and staff to create environments where faith expression is honored on this student’s campus. “I urge, then…that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for…all those in authority…” 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Day 16: Christian Schools Pray for homeschool and Christian school students to grow passionate in faith and bold in mission. “Fan into flame the gift of God… God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:6-7
Day 17: Christian Teachers Pray for Christian educators to shine the light of Christ through their example and words. “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt…” Colossians 4:6
Day 18: Ungodly Influences Pray that this young person will resist harmful media influences and embrace lives guided by biblical values. “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy…” Colossians 2:8
Day 19: Filled with the Holy Spirit Pray for protection from experimentation and addiction. May satisfaction and strength be found in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. “Do not be drunk with wine… but be filled with the Spirit.” Ephesians 5:18
Day 20: Community Services Pray that Christ-followers in youth-serving roles will be recognized as assets and used for God’s glory. “…The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord…” Habakkuk 2:14
Day 21: Spiritual Warfare Claim protection from pornography for this young person. Ask God to prevent even a first encounter—often occurring around age 11. “…there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin…” Romans 8:1-2
Day 22: Committed to Purity Pray for resolve to live by biblical purity in contrast to cultural norms. Pray for those needing forgiveness, healing, and redemption. “…The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 6:13
Day 23: Rescued from Entrapment Pray for the protection and rescue of young people from trafficking, drugs, and gangs. “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence?” Psalm 139:7
Day 24: Music that Inspires Pray that the music and media this student consumes would inspire love for Christ and His purpose. “Shout for joy to the Lord… burst into jubilant song with music.” Psalm 98:4
Day 25: Protection from Abuse Pray for young people suffering abuse. Ask God to intervene and bring healing and restoration. “He sent forth His word and healed them… He saved them from their distress.” Psalm 107:20
Day 26: Courage to Persevere Pray against loneliness, despair and thoughts of self-harm. Ask God to anchor this young person in hope. “I am confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14
Day 27: Godly Parents Pray that parents—especially single parents—will find strength, wisdom, and encouragement in God. “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27
Day 28: Caring Adults Pray for Christ-centered mentors to teach and model God’s ways to this student. “Far be it from me that I should sin by failing to pray for you and teach you the way that is good and right.” 1 Samuel 12:23
Day 29: Bearers of Good News Pray that every young person hears the message of salvation and is forever changed by the story of Jesus. Ask that this student becomes God’s messenger to their peers. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” Romans 10:14-15
Day 30: Global Impact Led by Youth Pray that this student be part of a Spirit-led movement to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. “…All over the world this gospel is producing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.” Colossians 1:6
Closing Prayer: Praise and Thanksgiving Thank God for all He is doing and will do with the next generation in response to your prayers. Ask Him to keep this young person anchored in His love, and to remind you often to lift them up. “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
