next gen hero for Cornerstone's The Way

Looking Ahead

1 Timothy 4:12

What makes Next Gen unique is that it’s a ministry within our church, not apart from it. From toddlers to teens, we minister our youth with the understanding that Cornerstone is one church made up of many generations. Our Christ-centered curriculum helps kids mature in faith to become adult members of a loving church body. They learn to make a positive impact in the world by discovering their gifts and using them to serve and love others. Additionally, seniors bestow their loving wisdom and support to bless generations of Christ-followers to come.

The programs and resources listed below are paramount in mentoring our youth as they prepare to lead the Church of tomorrow. Next Gen welcomes and encourages volunteering. If you would like to serve in a ministry that's as important as it is fun, please contact Krystal McKenzie at kids@ccvero.org.

Internally, CCC serves kids and families with:

  • S.P.A.R.K. This inspirational program builds authentic intergenerational relationships between 16- to 24-year-olds and spiritual mentors. By sharing ideas and working together, they solve common problems found in the church and in their community. Cornerstone's church family has so much to offer! Consider mentoring in this valuable and challenging ministry. Contact Krystal McKenzie.

  • Kid Squad. Enriching children from preschool to 5th grade with worship, games, and valuable Bible lessons. A kid-tailored environment ensures every child has fun learning about Jesus! Meets each Sunday from 10:00 am-11:00 am.

  • Resound Student Outreach. This pressure-free zone is a great place for middle and high-school students to learn, grow, and thrive. Resound meets Sundays from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in Cornerstone's Worship Center. If you know a middle or high-schooler who would benefit from Resound, please recommend it to them today!

  • UpsideDown Family Ministry. This family-focused ministry serves local families with food, fellowship, and childcare. We gather regularly on Thursday nights from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Through various Biblical series and topics, we discover practical ways to live out our faith in this upside-down world. Click here for our current study.
